11.6 ID & Print
ID & Print is a function to authenticate a user using a user name and password, then automatically print the
print jobs saved in the ID & Print User Box of this machine, when user authentication is enabled.
Because printing occurs after user authentication is performed via the control panel of this machine, it is
suitable for printing highly confidential documents.
To print from a computer, enter the user name and password on the printer driver just as the general user
authentication, and then specify ID & Print.

To use ID & Print, select [User Authentication/Account Track]- [User Authentication Settings] -
[Administrative Settings]- [ID & Print Settings], and then select "ON". For details, refer to "ID & Print
Settings" on page 12-39.

To use ID & Print, it must be specified in the Device Information tab. Make sure ID & Print is set to
"Enable" in the Device Information tab. For details, refer to "Specifying the configure tab settings" on
page 6-32, page 7-35.
