Importing ASCII/GSI Data

For ASCII files:
• At least one ASCII file with any file extension is stored in the \DATA directory
of the CompactFlash card.
For GSI files:
• At least one ASCII file in GSI format with the file extension *.gsi is stored in
the \GSI directory of the CompactFlash card.
Refer to "15.1 Overview" to access Import ASCII/GSI Data to Job.

Description
ASCII/GSI Data can be imported to a job,
from the CompactFlash Card or Internal
memory.
The type of data to be imported.
For <Import: ASCII Data> all files in the
\DATA directory on the CompactFlash
card can be selected.
For <Import: GSI Data> all files in the
\GSI directory on the CompactFlash card
can be selected.
TPS1200+
To import the data.
For <Import: ASCII Data>: To select
the delimiter, the positions of the
particular variables and, if required,
the number of lines used to describe
each point or if the variables are
delimited by one or multi spaces.
For <Import: GSI Data>: Coordi-
nates can be switched for "left
handed" coordinate systems. All
WI 81 data, normally Easting, is then
imported as Northing and all WI 82
data, normally Northing, is then
imported as Easting.
To display the data in <From File:>.
To define the height type for the
imported data and if the Easting
should be multiplied by -1. This is
required by some coordinate
systems.
