a large screwdriver between the lock collar
and bearing to prevent the shaft from locking up.

15. Just before shaft is completely removed,
grasp driven pulley to prevent it from falling
into belly pan. Also, slide lock collars off the
shaft.

16. Remove the three lock nuts holding the
driven pulley guard against the inside of the
chain case. Also, remove the cap screw
holding bottom of guard to curved section of
front end.
17. If bearing on the steering post side of the
chain case must be replaced, drive it toward
the steering post. Account for the O-ring.
