This section contains the procedure for manually installing a network
adapter driver in a Windows 2000 or XP operating system.
Note
You should review the
performing the following procedure.
1.
Shutdown Windows 2000 or XP and power OFF your computer.
2.
Install the network adapter card. Refer to
Adapter Card
on page 13 and the documentation that came with
your computer for instructions.
3.
Power ON the computer.
The Found New Hardware Wizard displays the window shown in
Figure 22, notifying you that it has detected a new adapter card in
your computer.
