Installing the Adapter

This section contains the procedure for installing a network adapter
driver in a Windows 2000 and XP operating system
Note
You should review the
performing the following procedure.
1. Shutdown Windows 2000 or XP and power OFF your computer.
2. Install the network adapter card. Refer to
Adapter Card on page 15 and the documentation that came with
your computer for instructions.
3. Power ON the computer.
If Windows prompts you for a new driver, cancel the installation
process and proceed as follows:
4. From the desktop, right-click the My Computer icon and select
Manage from the menu.
5. Select the Device Manager tab.
6. Double-click on Network adapters.
7. Select the adapter you wish to update. Right-click on the adapter
and select Uninstall.
8. To install the Allied Telesyn Network Installation Package Setup
execute one of the setup files below, depending on your operating
system and follow the instructions:
For Windows XP
\drivers\at2971_16\CPA\XP\SetupAtiNetXP.exe
For Windows W2K
\drivers\at2971_16\CPA\W2K\SetupAtiNet2K.exe
