The FOCUS GC User Interface

The Display LEDs

The LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) on the left side of the display screen indicate
the FOCUS GC's operating status.
The status LEDs indicate the current operating mode and special settings activated
by the operator. Table 2-1 lists and explains each status LED.

Table 2-1. Status LED Descriptions
This LED lights when the GC is not ready to
make a run, for example when the setpoint oven
temperature has not been reached. It remains lit if
any additional equilibration time has been
configured. It blinks when the GC has one or
more error conditions.
This LED lights when the GC is in Standby,
waiting to be advanced to the Ready status.
It blinks when the GC prepares for a run, for
example, during switching of valves required by the
method or waiting for an external device such as a
mass spectrometer.
This LED lights when the prep run has finished,
indicating that you can inject a sample or start an
autosampler.
This LED lights when the run is in progress.
