Setting up IPP printing with Windows 2000

With Internet Printing Protocol (IPP), print jobs are sent to the GA-1040 over the
Internet.
IPP printing is supported with Windows 2000 only.

IPP printing is supported directly for Windows 2000 computers; however, you must
first install the "wpnpins.exe" patch file (available on the Windows 2000 Server
Product CD). For information about this patch, contact the Microsoft Corporation.
The IPP setup procedures are performed after installing the appropriate printer

drivers. See "To install the PostScript or PCL printer driver for Windows NT 4.0
