All of the licensing options can be broken down into different categories. Some
licenses (e.g., SMDR) have a quantity of 1 to turn them on, while others have a
quantity depending on the number of devices that are used. For example, you may
have a license for 20 IP Terminals, in this scenario a license for 20 IP Terminals
would be issued. If you were to purchase SMDR then 1 license would be issued to
turn on SMDR.
References in this manual are made to the license code. License codes (four digits in
length) are the actual codes that are recognized by the SV8100.
Where NetLink is used, a license should be applied only to the Primary Netlink
system. A license should be purchased for each remote NetLink node. If the NetLink
between a primary system and a secondary system goes down, the secondary
system uses an internal license for a period of seven days. If the NetLink connection
to the primary system is not resumed after seven days, the internal license stops
working and the system becomes unlicensed.

If a license has not been installed on the SV8100, and the trial license is turned on and
then off, the days remaining continues to decrease.
After a license is installed on the SV8100, you should set Program 90-55-01 to 0 to turn
off the trial license. This preserves the remaining days left on the trial license and allows
you to turn it back on if needed at a later date.
Program 90-55-01 is currently only available using keyset programming. PC Programming/
Web Pro cannot be used.
When you turn off the free license, registered license devices (e.g., IP Terminals) that are in
use restart.
This Data Program is supported with SV8100 software version 3.0 or higher.
When the SV8100 system is powered on, the 60 day demo trial
starts and will count down 60 contiguous days. Disabling
Program 90-55-01 will not deter the countdown progress

System Port Licenses and MEMDB Rules

System capacity licenses are required for TDM extensions and trunks. The
capacity of the SV8100 depends on whether or not a MEMDB is installed.
If MEMDB is not installed, the system capacity is 64 TDM extension and
trunks. If Inmail is used, eight ports are assigned as voicemail ports. These
ports are TDM and reduce the number of ports in the system from 64 to 56.
