Adjustments
Preparation
. OUTPUT/DCC switch (inside panel) → CAM/OFF
. WHITE BAL switch (inside panel) → PRST
. GAIN switch (inside panel) → M (9 dB)
. On the setup menu, set as follows.

: WHITE CLIP → OFF

Adjustment Procedure
Equipment : Waveform monitor
Test point : TEST OUT connector
1. On the setup menu, set as follows.
PAGE : E21*LEVEL 4
: KNEE SLOPE → _99

2. On the setup menu, adjust as follows.
PAGE : E21*LEVEL 4
ITEM : KNEE POINT
: A = 98 ± 2 IRE (NTSC)
Spec.
A = 686 ± 10 mV (PAL)

3. GAIN switch (inside panel) → H (18 dB)
4. On the setup menu, set as follows.
PAGE : E21*LEVEL 4
: WHITE CLIP → ON

5. On the setup menu, adjust as follows.

ITEM : WHT CLIP LEVEL
: B = 109 ± 2 IRE (NTSC)
Spec.
B = 763 ± 10 mV (PAL)

7. On the setup menu, set as follows.

: C = 109 ± 2 IRE (NTSC)
Spec.
C = 763 ± 10 mV (PAL)
Setting After Adjustment
. GAIN switch (inside panel) → L (0 dB)
. On the setup menu, set as follows.

: TEST SAW → OFF

The values used in the above adjustment are for the
conditions that the white clip level is set to 109 IRE
(763 mV). When the white clip level is set to a value other
than 109 IRE (763 mV), use the following table to set the
levels of the knee point and knee slope.
