Installing required software

Required software checklist

Before you install any of the IBM SPSS Data Collection Server 6.0.1 applications you should
verify that any required software is installed and running. If the IBM SPSS Data Collection Server
6.0.1 installation procedure is unable to find an application, or that application is not running
correctly, the installation procedure will fail.
IBM SPSS Data Collection Server 6.0.1 applications requires the following software.
IBM SPSS Data Collection Survey Tabulation, IBM SPSS Data Collection Survey Reporter Server
Edition, and IBM SPSS Data Collection Author Server Edition
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or above or Firefox 3.x or above
Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 or above with the ASP.NET option
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
Microsoft Office Web Components (OWC)
Data Collection Survey Tabulation)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86 32-bit or x64 64-bit)
IBM SPSS Data Collection Interviewer Server
Available on the IBM® SPSS® Data Collection Interviewer Server installation CD
The following software is required and can be installed manually from the IBM SPSS Data
Collection Server 6.0.1 installation CD.
