Field
New SMS
This field allows you to select whether a
Message
sound is played when your receive a new
SMS message.
When this is enabled, a sound is played
each time a message arrives. When
disabled no sound is played.
The play button (with the arrow on it) allows
you to hear the sound assigned to new
SMS messages. If you have another sound
file you would prefer to use, you can use
the Browse button to select it. (Any *.wav
file can be used.)
GPRS
This field allows you to select whether a
Connection
sound is played when you are successfully
connected to the GPRS network and can
send and receive data.
The play button (with the arrow on it) allows
you to hear the sound assigned to a
successful connection to the network. If
you have another sound file you would
prefer to use, you can use the Browse
button to select it. (Any *.wav file can be
used.)

Power Down Option

The Power Down feature puts the AirCard into very low
power consumption mode, by turning off the receiving and
transmitting of data.
This mode is useful, for example, when you do not want to
shut down your notebook before getting on an airplane.
Note:
you cannot establish a network connection, receive or
send SMS messages when the AirCard is powered down.
To put the AirCard into Power Down mode:
1.
From the main Watcher window, select
After a short period of time, the call status area displays
"Device powered down".
To bring the AirCard out of Power Down mode:
1.
From the main Watcher window, select
The message "Device powered down" disappears, and the
AirCard is ready for use.
