Field
Frequency Band The frequency band that the card uses on
the network.
For the AirCard 710, the value is "PCS".
PLMN Network [not fully implemented in the beta release]
Selection
Automatic - If your "home" service provider
is available when you are registering on the
network, then this service provider will
automatically be used.
Manual - You can select, from the service
providers that are available in your location,
which service provider to use. Note: if you
are not roaming, then such a selection may
not be provided to you.
Maximum Allows you to specify a maximum
Transmit Speed transmission speed. If you want to save
battery power on your notebook, select a
slower speed.
Note: If you specify a speed that is faster
than what the network supports, this
maximum will not be achieved.
If you change this value, the AirCard will
reset; if a data transfer is in progress, it will
be ended immediately.
