Chapter 7. Installing and removing options and
customer-replaceable units
This chapter provides instructions for adding options or customer-replaceable units
(CRUs) to the blade server. CRUs are customer-replaceable components, such as
memory modules, hard disk drives, and I/O expansion cards. (Some removal
instructions are provided in case you need to remove one option or CRU to install
another.)

Installation guidelines

Before you begin, read the following information:
v Read the safety information beginning on page vii and the guidelines in "Handling
