No Startup
If there is no startup display after one minute when you turn on
your system, see the possible causes in Table 13–6.

Wall socket may not be
operative.
Monitor is not plugged in.
Monitor is not turned on.
Monitor brightness and
contrast controls are too dark
to see the screen display.
Monitor cable or video cable
is not connected.
Monitor fuse is blown.
Alternate console switch is in
the wrong position.

Corrective Action
Try a different wall socket, or try an
electrical device that you know works
in the wall socket.
Plug in the monitor to the auxiliary
power socket on the rear of the system
unit. See Figure 3–3.
Turn on the monitor. Verify that
monitor power LED is on.
Adjust the monitor brightness and
contrast controls. Verify that the
monitor power switch is on.
Check that the monitor cable and video
cable are plugged in at both ends. (See
Chapter 3 for installation instructions.)
