1. Tilt support lever

NOTICE
Do not use the tilt support lever or knob
when trailering the boat. The outboard mo-
tor could shake loose from the tilt support
and fall. If the motor cannot be trailered in
the normal running position, use an addi-
tional support device to secure it in the tilt
position.

Cowling lock lever

The cowling lock levers are used to secure
the top cowling.

Flushing device

The flushing device is used to clean the cool-
ing water passages of the outboard motor us-
ing a garden hose and tap water. For
instructions on using the flushing device, see
page 75.
