Battery-and-Surge-Protected Receptacles

These receptacles provide connected equipment (such as computers, monitors,
and other critical equipment) with AC line power during normal operation and
safeguard the equipment against damaging surges and line noise.
The Battery-and-Surge-Protected receptacles also provide battery power
during blackouts and brownouts only if the UPS is in the ON mode. For more
information, see "Front Panel Controls ON/STANDBY Button" in this
chapter.
