WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from electric shock or
to avoid damage to the equipment:
I
Plug the input line cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet that is
installed near the equipment and is easily accessible.
I
Do not disable the grounding plug on the input line cord. The grounding
plug is an important safety feature.
I
Do not use an extension cord.
IMPORTANT:
I
Performing a UPS Start-On-Battery with load present requires more power than
keeping an already-operating load running. You may not be able to start as large a
load as usual when performing a UPS Start-On-Battery using the
Compaq Pro UPS 500.
I
After performing a UPS Start-On-Battery, the UPS drains the charge on the battery;
runtime is very limited.
I
If utility power returns, power WILL BE SUPPLIED at the Surge-Protected receptacles
if the unit is connected to the utility outlet.
