In the case of a remote check you know
that you have no new messages after
about 15 seconds (otherwise the answer-
ing machine would have already
answered your call). There will be no call
charges if you hang up now.

Resetting fast access on the
answering machine
The integrated answering machine is
defaulted for fast access. If you have set
(page 44) the T-NetBox for fast access you
can reset this setting.

If several mailboxes are switched on:

number of the mailbox you want to
hear.
The setting for fast access applies to all
registered handsets and the base station.

Operation on the base station

Activating/deactivating the answering
machine
¤
Press the on/off key ö to activate
and deactivate the answering machine.
The remaining recording time is
announced after activating. The symbol
× is displayed on the handset.
In the recording mode
The key ö and the play/stop keys of the
active mailboxes light up on the base sta-
tion (ó, ø, ù).
You have to set the number of mailboxes
to be activated on the handset (page 37).
If the on/off key ö flickers for a few
seconds when switching on the answer-
ing machine and then goes out, the
answering machine memory is full. An
appropriate message appears in the dis-
play. The answering machine switches to
the announce only mode.
In the announce only mode
The key ö on the base station flashes
if the answering machine memory is not
full.
The key ö does not light if the memory
is full.
