Operating the answering machine
Playing messages
If there are new messages in a mailbox,
the play/stop key of the mailbox (ó,
ø, ù) flashes on the base station.
Listening to new messages
ó / ø / ù
Press the play/stop button of
the mailbox briefly.
The playback begins immediately with the
first new message.
Listening to new and old messages
ó / ø / ù
Press the play/stop button of
the mailbox long.
The playback begins immediately with the
first new message.
Controlling playback
During message playback:

Go to the start of the current
message.
2 x ò
to the previous message.
ô
to the next message.
2 x ô
to the next but one message.
Please note:
u
The answering machine cannot be
operated from the base station when it
is being operated from a handset or is
recording a message. The × symbol
flashes in the base station display.
u
If the play/stop key of a mailbox flashes
although the answering machine is
switched off, there is at least one new
message on the answering machine
which you have not yet listened to.
End playback

Press the play/stop key of the mailbox
again.

Delete message
¤
Press the delete key õ whilst playing
back the message.
The current message is deleted.
Operation while away from home
(remote control)
You can listen to or activate the answering
machine from any other telephone
(e.g. hotel, phone box).
Requirements:
u
You have set a system PIN not equal
0000 (page 57).
u
The phone you use for remote control
has tone dialling (DTMF), i.e. you hear
different tones when you press the
keys. Alternatively you can use a code
transmitter (available from your mobile
phone retailer).
Calling your answering machine and
playing messages

Dial your own number.

While listening to your
announcement text: press
the 9 key and enter the
system PIN.

If several voice boxes are acti-
vated: Press the hash key and
enter the number of the mail-
box.
The answering machine tells you whether
any new messages have been recorded.
The messages are now played back. You
can now operate the answering machine
with the keypad or by voice prompts.
