HOW TO USE DOOR REMOTE CONTROL

Door Unlock Button
1st step : Unlocks the driver's door and re-
leases the theft deterrent mode
2nd step : Unlocks the other doors and tailgate
(press the button again in 1st step)
Panic Button
• If you are in your vehicle and feel threatened
while the ignition key is inserted into the key
switch, you may activate the alarm to call
attention. If you press this button, the warn-
ing siren will sound for approx. 27 seconds.
• The siren will stop when any of the buttons
on the remote control key is pressed.
NOTE
The alarm sounds only when the ignition key is in-
serted into the key switch hole.
Coupled With Front Interior Lamp
• If you press the door unlock button in door
remote control when the front interior lamp
switch is at "Door" position, the front interior
lamps will come on for 30 seconds.
CAUTION
The doors cannot be locked by door remote con-
trol if they are not closed.
Door Lock Button
If you press this button, all doors are locked
and the theft deterrent mode is activated.
Escort Button
If you press and hold the door lock button for
about 2 seconds, the headlamps will come
on for about 20 seconds (gets into the theft
deterrent mode, then activates the escort
function).
Automatic Door Locking
If a door is not opened within 30 seconds af-
ter unlocking the door with remote control
key, all the doors will be locked automatically.
Theft Alarm Activation
If somebody tries to open the door, tailgate, or the hood in
theft deterrent mode, the alarm will sound and the side turn
signal lamps will blink for about 27 seconds.
Theft Alarm Deactivation
To stop the theft alarm during its activation, press any key on
the door remote control.
