P: Park position
• Use this position when the vehicle is parking, starting the
engine or stationing the vehicle.
To shift into any other position, depress the brake pedal
(ignition switch "ON").
WARNING
• Never shift into "P" position when the vehicle is moving, or the
transmission will be damaged.
• Stop the vehicle completely before shifting into "P" position.

TRANSMISSION AND BRAKE SYSTEM
R: Reverse position
• Use this position to reverse the vehicle.
To shift into "R" position from "P" or "N" position, completely
stop the vehicle and depress the brake pedal.
When the shift lever is in "R" position, the rearview camera
and parking aid system will be activated (optional).
WARNING
• Never shift into "R" position when the vehicle is moving.
• Please note that the vehicle may slowly move rearward when the
selector lever is at "R" position.
• As a safety function, the gear selector lever cannot be moved
into "P" or "R" position when the vehicle speed is above 7 km/h.
