Connecting the Super Woofer
speakers
XR-VS500D only: Use the supplied blue and black
speaker cords to connect the Super Woofer speakers to the
main unit. Like the front speakers above, it's important that
you connect the two strands of speaker cord for each speaker
to the correct speaker terminal.
Connect the Super Woofer speaker cords in the same way as
the front speakers.
Note: Make sure that the bare speaker wires cannot touch
each other, or come into contact with other metal parts once
the unit is switched on.
Connecting the center and
surround (rear) speakers
The center and surround speakers connect to the main unit by
RCA/phono-type plugs. Simply plug each speaker into the
corresponding jack on the rear panel.
To mount the surround speakers on a wall:
• Use the hole located on the rear panel of the speaker to
mount it on a wall. Make sure that the speakers are
mounted securely to prevent accidents.
• Check that the wall is strong enough to hang the
speakers on. Pioneer disclaims any responsibility for
damages due to falling speakers and other accidents
caused by inappropriate strength of the wall or improper
installation.
• No screws or other fittings are supplied to mount the
speakers on the wall.
Speaker caution!
Do not connect any of the supplied speakers to any other
amplifier. This may result in malfunction or fire.
If you wish to connect speakers other than the ones supplied
with this system, use only front speakers with a nominal
impedance of between 6 –16
between 12–16 with the XR-VS500D. For both models, use
only center/surround speakers with a norminal impedance of
between 8 –16 Refer to the instructions that came with
your speakers if you are unsure of their impedance before
connecting them and switching on.

XR-VS500D uniquement: Utilisez les cordons bleu et
noir fournis pour raccorder les enceintes super woofer à
l'unité principale. Comme pour les enceintes avant ci-dessus,
vous devez raccorder les deux torons du cordon pour chaque
enceinte à la borne correspondantel.
Raccordez les cordons de l'enceinte Super Woofer de la même
manière que les enceintes frontales.
Remarque: Les fils dénudés des enceintes ne doivent
jamais se toucher ou entrer en contact avec d'autres pièces
métalliques une fois l'appareil branché.
Raccorder les enceintes centrale et
'surround (arrière)'
Les enceintes 'surround' et centrale se raccordent à l'unité
principale grâce aux fiches du type RCA/Phono. Connectez
chaque enceinte au plot correspondant sur le panneau arrière.
Pour accrocher les enceintes surround au mur:
• Utilisez le trou prévu sur le panneau arrière de l'enceinte
pour la fixer sur le mur. Vérifiez que l'enceinte est bien
accrochée pour éviter tout accident.
• Vérifiez que le mur peut supporter le poids des enceintes.
Pioneer ne peut être tenu responsable de tout dommage
entraîné par la chute des enceintes ou de tout autre
accident provoqué par un manque de solidité du mur ou
d'une mauvaise installation.
• Aucune vis ou attache n'est fournie pour l'installation des
enceintes au mur.
Précaution avec les enceintes!
Ne raccordez aucune des enceintes fournies à un autre
amplificateur. Cela peut provoquer un mauvais
fonctionnement ou un incendie.
Si vous souhaitez raccorder des enceintes autres que celles qui
sont fournies avec cette chaîne, utilisez uniquement des
enceintes frontales ayant une impédance nominale comprise
entre 6-16 pour le XR-A9800D, et entre 12-16
XR-VS500D. Pour les deux modèles, utilisez uniquement des
enceintes centrale/surround ayant une impédance nominale
comprise entre 8 -16 . Consultez les instructions qui
accompagnent vos enceintes si vous n'êtes pas sûr de
l'impédance avant de les raccorder et de les faire fonctionner.
