Placing the speakers

Where you put your speakers in the room has a big effect on
the quality of the sound. The following guidelines and the
diagram below should help you to get the best sound from
your system.
• Ideally, speakers should be at about ear-level when you're
listening to them. Putting the speakers on the floor, or
mounting them very high on a wall is not recommended.
• For the best stereo effect, place the front speakers 2–3 m
(6–9 ft.) apart.
• The surround speakers should not be further away from
your listening position than the front speakers.
• The center speaker should be as close as possible to the TV
screen so that movie dialog is localized properly.
Important: The front, center speakers supplied with this
system are magnetically shielded. However, placing them
extremely close to a television may result in color distortion
on the screen. If this happens, move the speakers a little
further away and switch off the television for 15–30 minutes.
The surround speakers are not magnetically shielded, so
should not be placed near to a TV or monitor.

Choisir l'emplacement des enceinte

Le choix de l'emplacement des enceintes est critique. Les
conseils suivants et le schéma donné ci-dessous vous
permettront d'obtenir le meilleur son possible.

"Surround" droit
• Théoriquement, les enceintes doivent être placées à
hauteur de l'oreille. Nous ne recommandons pas de les
placer sur le sol ou en hauteur sur le mur.
• Pour obtenir un effet stéréo optimal, nous recommandons
d'espacer les enceintes avant de 2–3 m.
• Les enceintes 'surround' ne doivent pas être plus éloignées
de votre position d'écoute que les enceintes avant.
• L'enceinte centrale doit être aussi proche que possible de
l'écran de télévision pour que le dialogue soit
correctement localisé.
Important: Les enceintes avant, Sub Woofer et centrale,
qui accompagnent ce système possèdent un blindage
antimagnétique. Cependant, si elles sont placées trop près de
la télévision, elles peuvent entraîner une distorsion de la
couleur sur l'écran. Dans ce cas, éloignez les enceintes et
éteignez la télévision pendant 15 à 30 minutes.
Les enceintes 'surround' ne possèdent aucun blindage
magnétique et ne doivent donc pas être placées à proximité
d'une télévision ou d'un moniteur.
