Symptom
The printer takes
too long to out-
put prints.
Cause
The printer was in
Power Saver mode
when the print com-
mand was issued.
The printer setting
was for color transpar-
ency (transparency
sheet) or thick paper
printing.
The amount of mem-
ory installed is not
sufficient to process
the print data.
Improving Print Quality
Action
Using the POWER SAVER
item of the SYSTEM
SETUP menu, increase the
time elapse that should
occur before the printer
enters the Power Saver
mode. Details pp. 3-1,

Wait a few moments.
Change the TRAY X
MEDIA setting if they do
not correspond.

Install the optional expan-
sion memory, which will
allow the print cycle to run
faster.
