2. Message display
• Indicates the current status of the printer.
• Displays printer menus as well as the selected settings for the
various functions of the printer.
3. Message indicator
•
Message indicator blinking
Indicates either that the printer is warming up or that an error
has occurred.
• Message indicator OFF
Normal.
4. Cancel key
In setup menus, exits menus entirely, returning to Ready. While
printing, the Cancel key stops printing or processing the current
job.
5. Menu key
From Ready or Power Saver mode, enters the setup menus. In
setup menus, cancels a setup choice and jumps to a higher level
setup menu.
6. On Line indicator

On Line indicator ON
Indicates that the printer can receive data from the host com-
puter.
•
On Line indicator blinking
Indicates "power on self test".
•
On Line indicator OFF
Indicates that the printer cannot receive data from the host
computer.
