Color PagePro Ex Print Options for Windows
Electronic Collation
(No is the default)
Grayscale
CM Profiles
(only for Windows 95/98)
Electronic collation allows the pages of
each copy of a print job to be printed in
sequence. If chosen, a file is downloaded to
the hard disk drive, stored, and printed mul-
tiple times.
This feature is automatically enabled
only if a hard disk drive is installed in the
controller.
If there is no hard disk drive installed and
electronic collation is chosen, then a "Con-
flict" screen will appear that alerts the user
that a hard disk drive is required. If the user
misrepresents to the controller that a hard
disk drive is installed when it truly is not,
then the job will print without collation.
Whichever of these two settings is set to On
is the setting that will be enabled. However,
if Application Collation is set to On, the
Application Collation setting will take pre-
cedence.
By default your printer is set to print docu-
ments in color (CMYK). Select Grayscale to
print documents in grayscale.
Note many applications offer black and
white or grayscale printing options. Use the
application's grayscale option, if available,
for more efficient processing time.
The Adobe PostScript 4.2.4 driver for Win-
dows 95/98 can convert RGB colors of a file
to a specified CMYK device target using
ICM (Image Color Matching) technology.
Choose this option to specify the use of an
ICM device profile installed on your com-
puter.
For more information on rendering styles,
see page 5-19.
