Banking and special services
For services where you have to key-in extra digits (for example a personal identity
number – PIN) when you get through, you may prefer to store these digits to save you
having to key them in every time. Many banks, for example, offer a phone line you can
ring to check your current balance. Usually with this type of service, you're required to
key-in your account number followed by your PIN. By storing these extra numbers in
the Address Book memory, you'll save time and avoid errors.
With online banking for example, you could name the entry
the phone number itself as the office number, with the account number and PIN as the
mobile number. With this arrangement, you could phone Online Banking by typing in
Onl... and pressing OFFICE; then (once you get through), pressing MOBILE to enter
the account number and PIN.
Pause
Sometimes, a pause is required between groups of numbers (for example,
between an account number and PIN). In these instances, you can store a
pause as part of the number using the REDIAL / P key. (The display

If storing sensitive information such as your bank account number, password or
PIN, make sure that unauthorised persons cannot gain access to this
