3.1.2 Server Blade Configuration Example with Two Enclosures in a 42U Rack

Figure 3-2
shows a typical CPE BladeSystem with c7000 server blade solution with two enclosures
in a 42U rack. Some of the components shown in this figure might be optional, or they might be
installed in a different location or orientation with respect to the front and rear of the rack.

Figure 3-2
shows the following cluster components:
1.
HP 10000 Series 42U rack.
2.
Filler panels to close up any unused space on the front of the rack.
3.
HP ProCurve 2824 switch (shown facing forward in this example for illustration purposes
only).
4.
One TFT7600 rack-mount keyboard and monitor. This unit combines a full 17-inch WXGA+
monitor and keyboard with touch pad in a 1U format.
5.
HP BladeSystem c7000 enclosure with 16 half-height server blades (BL460c or BL465c servers).
There are two c7000 enclosures in this configuration for a total of 32 half-height server blades.
6.
InfiniBand switch (shown facing forward for illustration purposes only).
7.
Filler panel to close up reserved space on the front of the rack.
