ERROR MESSAGE
Scanner Locked
Toner Life End
Toner Low
Unable to Init.
(Initialize)
Unable to Print
Unable to Scan
Wrong Paper Size
CAUSE
The scanner glass's sensor does
ot move to the home position.
The toner cartridge and drum unit
assembly may have been installed
improperly.
The toner cartridge is used up and
printing is not possible.
If the LCD shows Toner Low, you
can still print, however, the MFC
is telling you that toner is near end
of its life and will soon run out.
The MFC has a mechanical
problem.
—OR—
A foreign object, such as a clip or
ripped paper, is in the MFC.
Paper is not the correct size.

ACTION
(For MFC-7420)
Check whether the MFC has faxes in
its memory. If there are faxes save
them.
Then, turn off the MFC and then on
again.
(For MFC-7820N)
Turn off the MFC and then on again.
Re-install the toner cartridge and drum
unit assembly.
Replace the toner cartridge with a new
one.
Order a new toner cartridge now.
(For MFC-7420)
Check whether the MFC has faxes in
its memory. If there are faxes save
them. Turn off the MFC's power
switch, and then on again. If the error
message continues, leave the MFC for
several minutes and try it again.
(For MFC-7820N)
Turn off the MFC's power switch, and
then on again. If the error message
continues, leave the MFC for several
minutes and try it again.
Load the correct size of paper (Letter,
Legal or A4) and then press Start.
