A Sound Blaster compatible
audio card is required for
connecting to the Dxr2 decoder
card. To obtain the high-quality
sound reproduction available
with Dolby Digital, use a Sound
Blaster AWE32, Sound Blaster
AWE64, or Sound Blaster Live!
See the figure on page 14 for an
example installation for theater-
quality sound reproduction.

Disconnect the monitor from the VGA card and reconnect it to the bottom connector on the Dxr2
decoder card. Connect the VGA card and the Dxr2 decoder card using the VGA loopback cable
provided.

Note: Refer to Figure on page 3 for details on the
location of the Dxr2 decoder card's jacks and connectors.
To play DVDs on your television monitor, use the TV Out cable to connect the television to the
Dxr2 decoder card's TV Out connector.
To play digital sound from a DVD or CD, connect a Dolby Digital receiver or amplifier to the
Dxr2 decoder card using a high-quality RCA cable.

Replace the computer cover and reconnect the power cord.
