(0, 0): The monitor speaker is disabled all through the
communication.
Setting
(0, 1): The monitor speaker is on up to phase B in the

(1, 0): Used for testing. The monitor speaker is on all

Make sure that you reset these bits after testing.
1: The monitor speaker is enabled during memory
transmission.

115 V model: Be sure to connect jumpers JP5 and
JP6 on the NCU before doing the test.
220 V model: Be sure to apply dc voltage between
wires L1 and L2 on the NCU.
Do not change the settings.
1: The 5th and 6th bytes in the DIS frame will not be
transmitted (set to 1 if there are communication
problems with PC-based faxes which cannot receive
the extended DIS frames).
