Loading Envelopes

When printing on envelopes, please note the following:

You can load up to 10 envelopes into the sheet feeder.
G
Load envelopes flap edge first with the flap side down, as
shown below.

Do not use envelopes that are curled or folded, and avoid
using envelopes that are too thin; they may curl during
printing.

Select Plain Paper as the Media Type setting in the printer
driver. For more details on making printer driver settings,
see online help for Windows, or Chapter 5 for Macintosh.

Set the adjust lever to the "+" position before printing on
envelopes. To change the setting, open the printer cover
and reposition the lever. See the illustration on page 6-6.
Note:
Return the adjust lever to the "0" position, which is the normal
position, after you finish printing on envelopes. If you leave the
lever in the "+" position, this may cause gaps to appear on the
printouts when you print on other media.
