4. Load the stack of paper with the printable surface up, the
paper top edge first and the right edge of the paper stack
resting against the right side of the sheet feeder.
Note:

Always load paper into the sheet feeder short edge first. Load
envelopes flap edge first with the flap side down.

Load pre-printed forms or letterhead top edge first.
5. Slide the left edge guide against the left edge of the paper
stack. Make sure the paper stack fits under both the edge
guide tab and arrow mark as shown below.
