A 10/100Base-TX Network Interface Card (NIC) is a device
for connecting the printer to an Ethernet network. A
Category 5 network cable is used for interconnecting the NIC
with the network. The NIC can automatically determine if it
is connected to a 10-MB or 100-MB network.
The procedure in this section only describes how to install
the NIC. For information about configuring the printer for
the NIC, see the NEC SuperScript 1800 Network Configuration
Guide.
