2) Turn pulley 1 n the rotatng drecton of the sewng machne to lower the needle from ts upper poston

3) Turn hook drvng shaft 4 to raise the feed dog from its lower position until it is flush with the top surface
of the throat plate.

The feed tmng has been factory-adjusted as llus-
trated n the sketch on the left.
The followng descrbes how to change the feed tm-
ng to produce better-tensed seams from the state
gven n the sketch on the rght.

4) Carefully keepng the needle and the feed dog n
the aforementoned state, put tmng belt 2 on
the pulley.
5) Adjust the tmng of the rght and left hooks and
adjust the tmng of the thread trmmng cam,

The hook timing can change by remov-
ing/replacing the timing belt, resulting
in a stitching failure. To prevent this, be
sure to adjust the timing of the hook and
thread trimming cam.
