4-15. Thread take-up spring

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
[S type and G type]
(1) When you want to change the stroke of the thread take-up spring

) For thread take-up sprng 3 on the left sde, loosen screw 2 and adjust the stroke of the sprng by mov-
ng the screw along the slot for adjustment.
2) For thread take-up sprng 1 on the rght sde, loosen screw 4 and adjust the stroke of the sprng by
movng thread take-up sprng adjustng plate 5 along thread take-up sprng base 6 .
In addition, for LH-3528A, 3528A-7, 3578A and 3578A-7, make sure that thread tension disks 8
and 9 securely rise when hand lifter lever 7 is turned in the direction of the arrow.
(2) When you want to change the tension of the thread take-up spring

) To change the tenson of thread take-up sprng
4 on the left sde, loosen nut 2 and turn sprng
stud 3 clockwse to ncrease or counterclock-
wse to decrease the tenson of the sprng.
After the adjustment, fix the stud by tightening
nut 2 .
2) To change the tenson of thread take-up sprng
1 on the rght sde, loosen screw 5 and turn nut
6 clockwse to ncrease or counterclockwse to
decrease the tenson of the sprng.
After the adjustment, fix nut by tightening screw
5 .
