SCAN OPERATION

Scan types

Scanning searches for signals automatically and makes
it easier to locate new stations for contact or listening pur-
poses.

The frequency skip scan function can be turned ON or OFF
in VFO mode. When this function is set to ON, the specified
frequencies are skipped during VFO scan.
• "PSKIP" indicator appears in VFO mode.
Repeatedly scans all frequen-
cies over the entire selected
band.
Skips unwanted frequencies
or channels that inconve-
niently stop scanning. This
setting can be turned ON or
OFF by pushing and holding
[SKIP](5) in memory mode.
