SET MODE

■ Set mode description

Set mode is used for programming infrequently
changed values or conditions of functions.
D Set mode operation
q Push [
SET] to enter the set mode.
(ANT)
w Push [UP Y] or [Z DN] to select the desired item.
e Set the desired condition using the tuning dial.
r Push [
SET] to exit the set mode.

• RF/squelch control
The [RF/SQL] control can be set as the squelch
control (default; RF gain is fixed at maximum), the
RF gain control only (squelch is fixed as open) or
RF/squelch control.
See p. 14 for details.
• Confirmation beep
A beep sounds each time a switch is pushed to
confirm it. This function can be turned OFF for silent
operation.
The volume level can be set in the next item.
• Beep level
This item adjusts the volume level for confirmation
beep tones from 0% to 100% in 1% steps.
• The volume level is displayed in 10% steps. '5' indicates
50% volume level.
• Beep level limit
This item limits the maximum volume level for
confirmation beep tones.
• S-meter peak hold
The peak level of the S-meter can be displayed for
0.5 sec. to confirm it easily.
