Windows

When cleaning the heated rea r window 3,
mak e sure tha t the heating element on the
inside of the wind ow is not d amaged.
Use a soft lint-free cloth or chamois leather
in conjunction with Wind ow Cleaner and
Insect Remover.
Vauxhall Windscreen Wash Solvent is
suitab le for de-icing windows.
For mechanical removal of ice, use a
commercially a vailable sharp-edged ice
scraper. Press the sc ra per firmly against
the g lass so that no dirt can get und er it
and scratch the glass.

Windscreen wiper blades

Wax , such as that used in car washes, can
cause streaks to form on the w indscreen
when the w iper is used.
Smearing wiper blades can be c leaned with
a soft c loth and Vauxhall Windscreen
Wash Solvent, and replaced if necessary –
see p age 186.

Locks

The lock s are lub ric ated with a high-grade
lock cylinder grease at the factory.
Vauxhall lock cy linder grease prevents the
locks from freezing up. Only use de-icing
agent in em ergencies, as they have a
degreasing effect and will im pair the
function of the loc ks. After using a d e-icing
agent, have the lock s re-greased. We
recommend that you entrust this to your
Vauxhall Authorised Repairer.
