Purpose of adjustment: To minimize flicker on the images
Symptom when adjustment is incomplete: Flicker appears in the images.
*1 Perform this adjustment only when the flicker is prominent in the video after either the Main
PWB Ass'y or the LCD Block has been replaced.
*2 Perform this adjustment after heat running for 2 minutes over with input test signal.
*3 Input the adjustment commands and values in upper case characters.
1. Use the following as the default values in the IMAGE MENU.
CONTRAST ------------- 0
BRIGHTNESS ---------- 0
COLOR TEMP. --------- STANDARD
COLOR MATRIX ------- OFF
2. Project an image on the screen.
Red
3. Input the XGA signal (Red 50% alternate line horizontal pattern, No.22).
4. Input the adjustment command [ 00~221□□ ] in the Hyper Terminal window to minimize
flicker in the red image.
Input the hexadecimal digit from [00] to [FF] in the □□ to minimize the flicker. The value [ A0 ]
is written in the □□ of the Main PWB Ass'y (before adjustment) in the service parts stock.

5. Input the write command [ 00~1810□□ ] in the Hyper Terminal window to write the changed
value to the EEPROM.
Enter the value input in the □□ in item 4. (*4)
Green
6. Input the XGA signal (Green 50% alternate line horizontal pattern, No. 23).
7. Input the adjustment command [ 00~222□□ ] in the Hyper Terminal window to minimize
flicker in the green image.
Input the hexadecimal digit from [00] to [FF] in the □□ to minimize the flicker. The value [ A0 ]
is written in the □□ of the Main PWB Ass'y (before adjustment) in the service parts stock.

8. Input the write command [ 00~1811□□ ] in the Hyper Terminal window to write the changed
value to the EEPROM.
Enter the value input in the □□ in item 7. (*4)
Blue
9. Input the XGA signal (Blue 50% alternate line horizontal pattern, No. 24).
10. Input the adjustment command [ 00~223□□ ] in the Hyper Terminal window to minimize
flicker in the blue image.
Input the hexadecimal digit from [00] to [FF] in the □□ to minimize the flicker. The value [ A0 ]
is written in the □□ of the Main PWB Ass'y (before adjustment) in the service parts stock.

11. Input the write command [ 00~1812□□ ] in the Hyper Terminal window to write the changed
value to the EEPROM.
Enter the value input in the □□ in item 10. (*4)
*4 If the command was correctly sent, it will be returned as sent. Also, the current value can
be checked by sending with only [ 00~221 ], [ 00~222 ], [ 00~223 ], [ 00~1810 ], [ 00~1811 ] or
[ 00~1812 ] (with nothing entered in □□) .
