Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Boot Password
Problem
The computer takes
longer during Startup.
If you are using more than one hard disk in your computer, make sure to set the jumpers on all your hard disks to

the cable select option in order for the system to recognize all the disks (see your hard disk manual or the informa-
tion printed on the hard disk itself for details on the jumper settings).
Problem
You forget the boot
password.

Data saved on the hard disk drive may be lost or damaged - Operate the scan disk or disk
defragmenter to check for any lost or damaged data.
The computer is waking up from Hibernate mode.
Jumper Settings for Multiple Hard Disk Use
If you choose to set a boot password, NEVER forget your password. The consequences of
this could be serious. If you cannot remember your boot password you must contact your
service representative and you may lose all of the information on your hard disk.
