Setting Up and Managing Camera Servers

MV Manager allows you to centrally manage all the registered camera servers. You can remotely perform
management tasks such as changing camera server settings, checking camera server operation statuses
and batch updating firmware.

You cannot add a camera server or update firmware unless you have
permission to access the camera server.
For information on camera server access privileges, refer to "Access Control
Page" in Chapter 3 of the Camera Server Manual.
When you double-click the icon for a
registered camera server in MV Manager,
the browser starts up and accesses the
camera server. When the verification dialog
box appears, enter your user name and
password and then click "OK".
Check your user name and password with
the camera server administrator.
The settings title page appears.
From the browser, you can specify settings
such as the camera server details and the
options for recorded pictures.
For more information on the detailed camera
server settings, see Chapter 3, "Setup
Procedure" in the Camera Server Manual.
Checking camera server operation
The "Operation check" screen in the "Multi-
locale display" style allows you to quickly
check the operating status of all the registered
camera servers.
