IBM SAN Fibre Channel Switch: 2109 Model S16 Installation and Service Guide
Failing test
Description
ramTest
The memory size to be tested is
less than or equal to zero.
ramTest
Data read from the RAM location
did not match previously written
data into the same location.
crossPortTest
The port failed to go into loopback
spinSilk
mode.
portLoopbackTest
The port is not present.
crossPortTest
spinSilk
portLoopbackTest
The port was in loopback mode
crossPortTest
and then went inactive.
spinSilk
crossPortTest
The port is found to be conneced
spinSilk
to itself (self loopback). This port
M to port M connection is not
allowed by this test.
spinSilk
The port is no longer transmitting,
as indicated by the number of
frames transmitted counter being
stuck at N frames.
crossPortTest
The frame was erroneously
received by port M instead of the
intended port N.
switch initialization
The POST is skipped. It's
message recommended that
POST be performed.
portRegTest
Data read from the ASIC register
sramRetentionTest
or the ASIC SRAM did not match
the data previously written into the
same location.
portRegTest
The port failed to unreset.
