Solution

Replace the damaged disk.
When formatting a disk in MS-DOS, you might need to
specify diskette capacity. For example, to format a 1.44-
MB diskette, enter the following command at the MS-
DOS prompt:
FORMAT A: /F:1440
Right-click Start, click Explore, and select a drive.
Select File>Properties>Tools. Under Error-checking,
click Check Now.
Format the diskette.
Be sure you use the correct diskette type for the type of
drive you are using.
Check the drive letter in the path statement.
Replace the diskette with a new one.
When drive activity stops, remove the diskette and press
the
spacebar.
The workstation should start up.
Restart the workstation by pressing the power button.
Replace with a bootable diskette.
Run Computer Setup and enable diskette boot in
Storage>Boot Order.
