Basic Hardware Architecture

The Cisco VGD 1T3 chassis supports one DFC (CT3) card and multiple High-Density Packet Voice
Feature Cards (VFCs). The DFC card provides the channelized T3 (CT3) interface. The High-Density
Packet VFC (product number VGD-FC) supports up to six high-density packet voice/fax digital signal
processor (DSP) modules (product number VGD-PVDM2-64).
The High-Density Packet VFC supports CT3 configurations. The High-Density Packet VFC is designed
to work with basic software configurations without requiring specific configuration changes.
