C.5.20 Remote Port Menu
The remote port menu contains the parameters that have to be configured
for a remote control computer / device to work correctly.
NOTE...
TANDBERG Television's remote control or software upgrade software requires the use of a
null-modem (crossed) RS-232 cable.

When software upgrading the unit via RS-232 and the TANDBERG Television software upgrade
application (UPGRADE.EXE), it is important that the baud rate is set to 38400, the data bits to 8, the
stop bits to 1, the parity to none, and the flow control to none. If this is not the case, the UPGRADE

Sets the baud-rate for the communication with the external device.
75, 110, 110, 150, 200, 300, 600, 1050, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600,
19200, 38400, 57600, 115200
Default = 115200.
Sets the number of data bits used for each character.
7 - The number of data bits is set to 7
8 - The number of data bits is set to 8
Default = 8.
This setting determines the time between each character being
transmitted (bits per second).
0.5 - 0.5 bits/s
1.0 - 1 bit/s
1.5 - 1.5 bits/s
2.0 - 2.0 bits/s
Default = 1.0.
The parity bit setting defines the type of error checking used.
None – No parity
Odd – Odd parity
Even – Even parity
Default = None.
Sets the flow control.
None – No flow control.
NOTE...
Only one option is available
