  • Page 9 X3 Elliptical ASSEMBLY 2. Assemble the rear stabilizer (63) to the frame (1) with bolts (163), washers (157,158) and acorn nuts (156). Only hand-tighten the bolts until the next step. Apply lubricant (172) to upper surface of rails. 3. A. Fasten the rear stabilizer (63) and frame (1) with washers (158, 157) and bolts (163).

Fasten the uprights to frame (1) with washers (154, 148) and bolts (152). 5. Connect the upper control wire (51) and computer (138) wire. Connect the hand pulse wires (52) and computer wires.
  • Page 11 X3 Elliptical ASSEMBLY 6. Look for “L” and “R” labels on the pedals. Install wave washer (84) onto frame (1). Install the left and right pedal assembly (111, 112) onto the frame with washers (147, 148) and bolt (146). Install bolt cover (143).

Fasten the left and right rockers (70, 71) to the left and right pedal assemblies (111,112) with bolts (116) and nylon nuts (115).
  • Page 13 X3 Elliptical ASSEMBLY 10. Fasten the pedal (144) on the left and right pedal assembly (111,112) with screws (167). 11. Remove screws (49) from the upright (45). Fasten the bottle holder (142) onto the upright with screw (49). Insert the bottle (141) into bottle holder.
  • Page 14 X3 Elliptical ASSEMBLY 12. Adjust the unit so that it does not lean (to the left or right) and all foot pads (69) are in contact with the floor. Lift the units middle adjustment foot pads (69) until they are lifted above the ground.

    X3 Elliptical HEART RATE CALCULATION Before beginning any test, calculate your maximum heart rate. The maximum number of heartbeats that a person must not exceed is referred to as the maximum heart rate and this value drops with age. A simple formula to calculate this is to subtract your age, in years, from the number 220.

  • Page 19 X3 Elliptical CONSOLE OPERATION 1. Display: 1) The upper half of the console has a touch screen for operating the Programs. The touch screen can detect the presence and location of contact by a finger or hand. The areas which operate like buttons are painted onto the display. The buttons include PROG, QUICKSTART/STOP, RECOVERY, RESET, ▲, ENTER and ▼.

    X3 Elliptical CONSOLE OPERATION 5) Resistance: Resistance can be adjusted anytime during the program by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button up to level 16. The resistance level of the remainder of the program will be adjusted to the new level.
