POST error messages
The following table provides an abbreviated list of the error messages that might appear during
POST. See "Diagnostics" in the blade server Hardware Maintenance Manual and Troubleshooting
Guide on the Intel Server Compute Blade SBX82 Resource CD for more information about the
POST error messages.

Make sure that your optional devices are turned on
and installed correctly.
✏ NOTE
If you are unable to start the
Configuration/Setup Utility program, view the
system event log in the management module.
Set the correct date and time.
Make sure that the memory is correct for your blade
server and that it is installed properly.

Make sure that the keyboard/mouse/video select
button LED on the front of the blade server is lit,
indicating that the blade server is connected to
the shared keyboard.
•
Make sure that the keyboard cable is connected
to the SBCE unit and nothing is resting on the
keyboard keys.
Start the Configuration/Setup Utility program and
make sure that the parallel-port setting is correct.
Make sure that the serial cable is connected correctly.
Start the Configuration/Setup Utility program and
make sure that the IRQ and I/O port assignments
needed by the serial port are available.
Start the Configuration/Setup Utility program and
make sure that the interrupt resource settings are
correct.
•
Make sure that the keyboard/mouse/video select
button LED on the front of the blade server is lit,
indicating that the blade server is connected to
the shared monitor.
•
Make sure that the monitor is connected correctly
to the SBCE unit.
Make sure that processor x is installed correctly. If the
problem remains, replace processor x.
