Explanation: Bad node address (multicast address).
Action:
Make sure the locally administered address is valid, if one is specified. The address can not
be a multicast address.
0x03
Explanation: Failed self-test.
Action:
Make sure a cable is attached to the Ethernet connector. If the problem persists, call for
service.
0x0D
Explanation: Could not allocate enough memory for transmit queues.
Action:
If you have Windows 2000, do the following:
1.
From the Windows 2000 desktop, click Start→Control Panel→Networks→Adapters.
2.
Select your IBM Ethernet adapter from the list.
3.
Click Properties→Advanced.
4.
Lower the resource values that apply to the transmit queue.
If you have Windows XP Professional, do the following:
1.
Click Start→Control Panel→Network Connections→Local Area Connection.
2.
Select your IBM Ethernet adapter from the list.
3.
Click Properties→Advanced.
4.
Lower the resource values that apply to the transmit queue.

Explanation: Could not allocate enough memory for receive queue.
Action:
If you have Windows 2000, do the following:

From the Windows 2000 desktop, click Start→Control Panel→Networks→Adapters.
