Choosing the connection key settings

The Export Connection Wizard lets you send your current connection information, or customize
your existing settings as needed for use by other permission groups. Select the radio button
appropriate to the connection settings you want to send to users.
If you are using FTP as the means to connect to the website, you can select the Include my FTP
login and password option so that users are prompted to enter their individual FTP user name
and password.
If you choose to customize your connection settings, the next panel of the Export Connection
Wizard lets you select the method users will use to connect to the website. If you choose to send
your current (unaltered) connection settings, the next screen you see lets you select the permission
group to send the connection to.

Choosing a connection method

You must choose the method that users will use to connect to the website. Contribute lets users
connect to the website using either the local network or FTP. The type of connection you choose
determines the network information you need to enter. If you create an FTP connection, be sure
you know the name of the FTP server, the FTP user name, and the FTP password.
Note: If users will be connecting to the website using FTP and you're not sending them your FTP login information,
make sure they understand how to enter their own FTP login information. Many less experienced computer users
don't understand that FTP logins are different from the user name and password they might use to log in to their
local computer network.
